The Inbetweeners

Inbetweeners 2019

The Inbetweeners choir were formed in 2011 to fill the gap between the Junior and Senior choir. We are an enthusiastic group and enjoy meeting on a Wednesday evening to rehearse. Led by Karen Maxwell and accompanied by Lesley Niven and Graeme Brown, the group enjoy sharing their musical talents as part of our all age services and further afield.

As a group we enjoy taking part in services such as our special services for Harvest, Remembrance, Easter and Christmas. We have also been involved in a number of Songs of Praise mornings - teaching and leading new hymns to the congregation along with our Church choir and Junior choir.

We are also fortunate to be invited to perform at many Guilds locally. To date we have been able to donate over £800 to charities supported by the Guilds. Along with many other choirs from the town, we have supported the work of the Bible Society, Christian Aid and ST Andrews hospice taking part in charity concerts.

A highlight for us as a choir was our invitation to sing at Heart and Soul in the Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. This event was the launch of the General Assembly for the Church of Scotland. Held in the Ross Bandstand, it was a wonderful experience for us all. The day culminated in an open air service where, along with the other performers from the day, we joined a massed choir. Performing at the foot of the castle with a lone piper on the esplanade was definitely a lasting memory for us all.
